It’s been a long time since we studied English literature, but as far as we can remember, none of Jane Austen’s heroines wore nipple tassels. A shame, really – if Mr Darcy’s damp shirt can cause such an uproar, imagine what kind of sensation it would have made when the Bennet girls shimmied away! And we feel these tassels would have been just genteel enough for such a scenario. A small circular pastie base is covered in duck egg linen with a subtle scrollwork design in cream. They are edged with a matching cream fringed braid, and the whole thing finished with glossy cream tassels. Oh I say!
