Inspired by and named after the classic burlesque “Oyster Girl” routine, we love these delicate and unusual pasties. Our own seashell shape is covered in palest aqua silk dupion and embellished with a sea of vintage faux pearls. These have been hand-sewn round the edges to create a delicate border. The strings of pearls that separate the shell into panels have been left loose for elegantly subtle curves and a hint of gentle movement, and they come together in a larger faux pearl at the centre. As elegant as the bygone age they recall.
